Tetris is a classic puzzle game where you arrange falling blocks (Tetriminos) to complete horizontal lines. Clear lines to earn points and level up. The game ends when blocks reach the top of the board. Test your strategy, speed, and reflexes!

How to Play Tetris

Objective

Clear horizontal lines by filling all 10 cells in a row with blocks. The more lines you clear at once, the more points you earn!

Game Controls

  • ← / → or A / D: Move piece left/right
  • ↓ or S: Speed up piece descent
  • ↑ or W: Rotate piece
  • Spacebar: Instantly drop piece
  • P: Pause/Resume game

Scoring System

  • Single line clear: 100 points
  • Two lines clear: 300 points
  • Three lines clear: 500 points
  • Four lines clear (Tetris!): 800 points
  • Bonus: Points are multiplied by your current level

Game Mechanics

Tetriminos: Seven different block shapes that rotate and fall. Each piece is different!

Levels: Complete lines to increase your level. Higher levels make pieces fall faster!

Game Over: The game ends when pieces reach the top of the board.

Tips & Tricks

  • Plan ahead by looking at the "Next Piece" preview
  • Keep the board height balanced to avoid sudden game overs
  • Try to save the center columns for I-pieces (straight lines)
  • Complete 4-line clears (Tetris) for maximum points
