2048 is a popular single-player sliding block puzzle game. The game's objective is to slide numbered tiles on a grid to combine them and create a tile with the number 2048.
How to Play:
Game Objective: Combine tiles with the same number to create larger numbers. Your goal is to create a tile with the number 2048!
Moving Tiles: Use arrow keys (↑ ↓ ← →) or WASD keys to move all tiles in one direction.
Merging Tiles: When two tiles with the same number touch, they merge into one tile with their sum (e.g., 2 + 2 = 4).
New Tiles: After each move, a new tile (2 or 4) appears randomly on an empty spot.
Scoring: Every time tiles merge, you earn points equal to the value of the new tile.
Winning: Create a 2048 tile to win! But you can continue playing to achieve even higher scores.
Game Over: The game ends when the grid is full and no more moves are possible.
Controls:
↑ ↓ ← → Arrow Keys - Move tiles in the corresponding direction
W A S D Keys - Alternative control scheme (W=Up, A=Left, S=Down, D=Right)
Undo Button - Revert your last move (up to 5 moves)
New Game Button - Start a fresh game at any time
Touch Swipe - Swipe in any direction on mobile devices
Strategy Tips:
Corner Strategy: Keep your highest-value tile in one corner and build around it.
Sequential Order: Try to maintain tiles in descending order from your chosen corner.
Avoid Random Moves: Plan ahead - random movements often lead to a cluttered board.
Focus on One Direction: Minimize using one direction (usually up or down) to maintain better control.
Use Undo Wisely: The undo feature is helpful when you make mistakes, but use it strategically.
Keep Grid Open: Try to keep at least one row or column relatively clear for maneuvering.
